Even though we miss him dearly…we know this monument to Coach Jimmy will allow future IC students & athletes from other schools to know about a person who changed so many lives. The school year is rapidly approaching, and we're looking forward to inviting you and your family to our campus in the coming days before school resumes on August 18th, 2022! ​Sunday, August 14th, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: ​Kindergarten families are welcome to attend our Kindergarten Play Date, sponsored by the ICGS PTO! This event is to help students (and families) meet one another and familiarize themselves with the "big kid" playground. The PTO will also have popsicles! Please park in the west parking lot behind the school. Contact icgspto@illinicentral.org with any questions. Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: ​ All ICGS families are welcome to attend the Illini Central Grade School Meet the Teacher Night. Homeroom teachers, Specials teachers, and other staff members will be in their classrooms, ready to meet students and parents alike. Feel free to bring your child's school supplies to school that evening in order to save them a heavier load on their first day on Wednesday. This same evening we'll have the PTO with us to give you more information on their organization and encourage you to sign up. Families will also be able to sign up at this event for Parent Teacher Conference time slots for later in the Fall. If you have students in other buildings, please note the Pre-Kindergarten Meet the Teacher time is 5:00 pm-7:00 pm this evening and the MS/HS event runs from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ​We cannot wait to get this school year started! If you registered online that form would have needed to be printed and filled out. The completed form may be dropped off at either the HS or GS office. Good afternoon, Illini Central families! Registration for the 2022-2023 school year is approaching quickly. Online registration will begin on Thursday, July 21st. In-person registration will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 2 to 7 p.m. We will share additional information closer to those dates. Our Health Department will be at registration to administer immunizations on August 4th from 2pm until everyone is served. Those will take place in the Health Services modular. Graduates from Illini Central may apply to help fund their college or technical school tuition by utilizing the Illini Central Student Loan Fund. The money made available to graduates from Illini Central High School through the Student Loan Fund is a loan. As such, the committee expects the applicant to make repayment of the money borrowed as soon after leaving school as is feasible. The prompt repayment of this loan will assure future students of Illini Central the same privilege to take advantage of this fund. There is a limit of $500.00 per semester with the total amount granted not to exceed $3000.00. The Student Loan Fund committee will be meeting to approve student loans for the Fall 2022 semester. Students that are interested in acquiring a loan need to submit an application by August 12, 2022. Applications may be picked up in the high school office or on the school website at www.illinicentral.org under “For Students” on the high school page. Students must also submit a copy of their class schedule as proof of enrollment in college courses.
