This is a reminder that Illini Central schools will dismiss at 11:30 am on Friday, October 30,2020. Staff will be involved in school improvement activities during the afternoon. There will be no lunch service on Friday.

Picture re-takes for the Grade School, Middle School, and High School are Tuesday, 10/27. Students who missed picture day in September should plan to have their picture taken on Tuesday.

Meal pick up is available for those students who are remote learning and are currently signed up for the service. Meals may be picked up at the school in the west parking lot at Door K between 11:00am and 1:00pm on regular school days when lunch is served.

Illini Central CUSD 189 is accepting proposals for snow removal on various district lots. Interested parties should contact Mike Strauman at (217)482-5180 x1800, or pick up a term sheet from the district office. The district office is located at 222 N. West Ave. in Mason City.

Beginning with second quarter (Thursday, 10/22/2020) students who are doing remote learning whether by choice or because of quarantine, will need to follow these expectations for attendance. Tomorrow is an 1:30 dismissal day! Please make sure Chromebooks are charged and ready for the longer day. As a precaution, students should bring their chargers to school in case the batteries don't last all day. Teachers also ask that students bring wired earbuds daily.

Parents/Guardians of Illini Central Students:
Beginning Monday October 19th, 2020 Illini Central will transition from the current hybrid learning schedule to the full in-person instruction schedule. We will begin serving lunches on this date. We will administer prescription medication to those students who require it during school hours. Morning medications will still be required to be administered at home. A signed physician's order that includes your student's name, medication name, dosage and other instructions needed is required. Blank forms can be found on the District website under Medical/Nurse office forms. We ask that anyone dropping off medications please do so at the MS/HS entrance. Completed paperwork can be faxed to 217-482-3323 or e-mailed to tharris@illinicentral.org

With parent-teacher conferences tonight and tomorrow night, there will be no remote learning in the afternoon on these two days. We will not have school on Friday 10/9 or Monday 10/12. We will resume the 11:30 schedule with afternoon remote learning on 10/13.

Illini Central CUSD 189 is looking for a day shift part time custodian. Pay starts at $10 per hour. Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in commercial cleaning or any equivalent combination of training and or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal background investigation inquiry. Applications can be obtained and dropped off at 222 N. West Ave. in the District Office.
