We have been made aware that an individual who sheltered in place in the high school boys restroom at the basketball game last night has tested positive for COVID-19. If you sheltered in place in the same location, you may want to monitor your symptoms and be aware that you may potentially be a close contact. We apologize for the unfortunate circumstances regarding this event.

Graduates from Illini Central may apply to help fund their college or technical school tuition by utilizing the Illini Central Student Loan Fund. The money made available to graduates from Illini Central High School through the Student Loan Fund is a loan. As such, the committee expects the applicant to make repayment of the money borrowed as soon after leaving school as is feasible. The prompt repayment of this loan will assure future students of Illini Central the same privilege to take advantage of this fund. There is a limit of $500.00 per semester with the total amount granted not to exceed $3000.00.
The Student Loan Fund committee will be meeting to approve student loans for the Spring 2022 semester. Students that are interested in acquiring a loan need to submit an application by January 3, 2022. Applications may be picked up in the high school office or on the school website at www.illinicentral.org under “For Students” on the main page or the high school page. Students must also submit a copy of their class schedule as proof of enrollment in college course. Please contact Jennifer Durbin at Illini Central High School at (217) 482-5180 or jdurbin@illinicentral.org with questions.

All scheduled extracurricular activities for IC will be held tonight.

No school 12/6/21 due to a power disruption.

Last week, students were sent home with a parent letter regarding our Erin's Law presentations that will happen next week. Erin’s Law requires that all public schools in Illinois implement a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program which teaches students in grades pre-k – 12th grade, age-appropriate techniques to recognize child sexual abuse and to tell a trusted adult. More information on Erin’s Law can be found at http://www.erinslaw.org/erins-law/. Please sign the letter that was sent home if you do NOT want your student to participate in these presentations. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the school counselors, Andrea Arms or Annie Baugher.

Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is inviting the Illini Central community to participate in our fundraising efforts.
Currently we are sponsoring a home-delivery Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough fundraiser.

Pictures for ICMS and ICHS will take place on Tuesday. HR Imaging has a "no questions asked" policy for retakes. If for some reason a student or parent is not happy with their pictures, the student may have their photograph retaken. Students must bring the entire package back and give it to the photographer at that time.
Any student who did not get their picture taken on the initial picture day will have an opportunity to do so on Tuesday as well.
All clubs and organizations at ICMS and ICHS will take group pictures for the yearbook on Tuesday after retake pictures are completed.
