Alliance Community Bank and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Elijah Baker with the February Student of the Month Award. For demonstrating outstanding character, Elijah receives an Amazon gift card from Alliance Community Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty. Elijah is the son of Jessica Carlin. His classes this year include Supervised Agriculture Experience, Natural Resources, Welding I&II, Literature and Film, Beginning Construction, Government and Civics, Food Science, Painting, and Fitness. Elijah keeps busy playing basketball for Illini Central High School. Additionally, Elijah is involved in FFA and volunteers with the Illini Central Biddy Ball program. This fall, Elijah plans to attend a community college to pursue a degree in physical education. Congratulations, Eli! Thank you for all of your contributions to Illini Central during your high school career. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

The Illinois 5Essentials Survey will be administered to middle and high school students next week. Participation in this survey is part of the district's summative designation awarded by the state. This is a reminder that Illini Central Schools will dismiss at 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 for a School Improvement Planning Day.

The Krispy Kreme donut preorder pick-up date will be Wednesday, February 23rd from 5:30 to 7:30 in the cafeteria. This was postponed last week. Come by & pick up your order and stay for the boys' game. Thank you for your support!

The high school boys basketball game scheduled for tonight is canceled. We will honor our seniors tomorrow after the Regional game. That game begins at 4:00 pm. The Board of Education meeting scheduled for tonight will be held at 7:00 pm at the Mason City Public Library.

ICHS needs your help! We are looking for individuals willing to participate in mock interviews with our seniors during the first week of April. Well, the Cougar has submitted the photo of his snowman...have you? We have received a few photos & know that the snow is a little powdery right now for making snowmen, so will be accepting photos through early next week. Please send pictures of your created snowman, whether big or small to: theclass@illinicentral.org We will showcase the best snowmen on the website. Illini Central Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 4th due to inclement weather and poor road conditions. Decisions regarding extracurricular activities will be made tomorrow in the morning. Please note that these snow days will be made up at the end of the school year.

The 2022 Senior Class will be taking pre-orders of Krispy Kreme glazed donuts to fund their senior trip and help with graduation expenses. The fundraiser will begin on Feb. 1st. Please reach out to a senior or see Mrs. Price and Ms. Bohannan for pre-orders. All order forms and money are due to Mrs. Price by February 10th. The cost of a dozen donuts will be $11.00. Please write checks to Illini Central (Class of 2022). Orders will be available for pick up at Senior Night on Feb. 17th in the cafeteria between 6:00 -7:30. We plan to have a limited number of Krispy Kreme Donuts for $12.00 a dozen or $1.00 each at the game. We appreciate your support! We would also like to give a special shoutout to Amelia Horn for bringing this idea to us.
