The regular meeting of the Illini Central CUSD #189 Board of Education will be held in person this month. The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the grade school library. The meeting will be limited to 50 in-person attendees. The Board and school personnel will account for at least 12 attendees. The district will broadcast the meeting through the Illini Central Sports Network. One of the committees we created last week focuses on Communication. We feel that communication especially during this time...even what may seem like "over communication" is vital. Today...a group including teachers, staff, administrators, board members & family/guardians of some of our students began the process of creating a plan to return to school in the Fall. 44 people divided into 6 teams looking for the best way to teach, feed, transport & empower OUR kids. A big thank you to everyone who dropped off Chromebooks, hotspots & text and library books yesterday. We have heard from a number of people who couldn't make it during the day yesterday and we completely understand. To offer a weekend day & time, I will be at the school this Saturday, May 30th from 9 to Noon for anyone who still has items to drop-off. Since it will just be me, I will not be able to get personal student items for people who drop by. We are working on a plan to deliver those items in the near future. Thank you. Mr. Wherley #WeAreIC

The Illini Central Board of Education will hold its May 18, 2020 meeting using video conferencing technology. The public can log into Zoom to view the meeting. Instructions for logging on to the meeting can be found at the district website "News" section.

Illini Central Schools will be making the last school meals delivery next week on Thursday, May 21st.

Illini Central Schools will observe a remote learning planning day on Tuesday, May 26th. The last day of student instruction will be Friday, May 22nd. Teachers will participate in staff development activities on May 26th that focus on planning for the 2020-2021 school year.

This is a reminder that Illini Central schools will distribute student supply and property on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1. Please check the district website for the schedule and details.
