This week, students were sent home with a parent letter regarding our Erin's Law presentations that will happen next week. Erin’s Law requires that all public schools in Illinois implement a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program which teaches students in grades pre-k – 12th grade, age-appropriate techniques to recognize child sexual abuse and to tell a trusted adult. More information on Erin’s Law can be found at http://www.erinslaw.org/erins-law/. Brief summaries of what will be presented to students in each grade level are on the back of the letter. Only sign the letter that was sent home, if you do NOT want your student to participate in these presentations. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the school counselors, Andrea Arms aarms@illinicentral.org or Annie Baugher abaugher@illinicentral.org.

Thursday, December 15th is the Middle School Incentive Field Trip to the Peoria Rivermen Hockey Game. Students will be provided a voucher for a free hotdog, chips, and drink. Students can request a sack lunch from the cafeteria if they do not want the hotdog option or want more food. Students can also pack their lunches to take with them. Concessions are available for purchase at the game. Concessions at the game are pricey so keep that in consideration if you are sending money with your student. Only students who qualified for the trip will be allowed to attend. A permission slip will be sent home with these students. Parents of any student who does not qualify will be notified. Students need to have zero missing assignments and zero discipline infractions during the 2nd quarter to qualify for the trip.
