The Grade School PTO supports the students and staff at Illini Central Grade School. Through fundraising, it provides meals to teachers during Parent-Teacher Conferences and a Classroom Grant opportunity. It also provides students with various fun activities throughout the year such as field trips, the PTO Carnival, and Field Day.

We have been informed that the current Grade School PTO leadership is stepping down, and replacements will need to be selected. Tomorrow, Thursday, August 27th, is a field trip day for all high school students. We will attend the Ag Safety Showcase for Roadway Safety at the Mason County Fairgrounds. We will leave school around 9:20 and will return to school around 1:00. Lunch is provided. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Baugher.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are working through some struggles with our Rooms communication platform. With the Skyward transition this summer, it has reset how it communicates information to Rooms. We will send out another message once we have it figured out. We are hopeful to have it up and going by the end of the week.

We have immediate openings for paraprofessionals. Currently, paraprofessionals can obtain a provisional license with no testing or college requirements. Students and their families are invited to the District Open House tomorrow, August 18th. Doors open at 6 pm, and the event will conclude at 7 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet the staff, drop off school supplies, walk the student's schedule, and more! Grade school families can also sign up for conferences and other classroom involvement activities at this time. If anyone has any outstanding paperwork such as physicals, shot records, birth certificates, school fees, etc., this is the perfect time to bring those to the office!

High school students will participate in Advisory Sessions during the first several days of school. The students will have sessions that cover a variety of transitional and organizational topics to help them start the school year on the right foot. Wednesday's session will focus on the school's handbook and emergency procedures. This session will not include a drill; rather, be informative so the students know how to respond in any form of emergency. The school district utilizes verbiage from the "I Love You Guys" Foundation and ALICE. If you have any questions or concerns. Please reach out to Annie Baugher, high school principal.
Calling all Dual Credit and LTEC students. ICC online classes and LTEC in-person classes begin Monday, August 17th. Please check your school email for instructions on what time to arrive for the LTEC bus or for ICC online class instructions. Please reach out to the counselors with any questions.

This week Illini Central's first and second year teaching staff participated in a new teacher bootcamp with Todd Fox, Angie Ruebush, and Clint Weir.
Teachers engaged in a variety of activities that focused on strategies great teachers use to successfully manage a learning-centered classroom where all students thrive. One message resonated throughout the day: Love First, Teach Second.
With these new tools in their teacher toolboxes, these teachers are ready to begin the school year strong! We are excited to have these new teachers on staff at IC!

Consistent student attendance is a direct reflection of school success. We often get many questions about attendance. Only the primary guardian can complete registration for students, so if you are logging on and do not see an option to register your student, you will need to have the other guardian complete the registration.
Once Online Registration is completed, make sure to pay the school fees. From the main screen in Skyward, click on "Fees and Fee Payments" to see the fees for registration. From this page, you should see all the fees for all your students. There is no Athletic Fee this year, only registration fees. In the top right, there is a link to "Make Online Payment" if you choose to use a credit or debit card. If you choose to pay cash or check, you may do so in the office in person. If you have previously completed registration and had difficulties with RevTrak, it has been resolved.
If you experience any difficulties logging in to Skyward or completing online registration, please don't hesitate to call the school. Our staff is happy to assist you. You must have a valid license, registration, proof of insurance, and $25 at the time of purchase.
