Tonight, Illini Central will recognize their 8th grader boys' basketball players & cheerleaders prior to the 8th Grade Night game v. the Greenview Bulldogs. The 8th grade cheerleaders are: Front Row: Milee DeVore, Morgan Peterson, Elayna Snyder & Bennett Bergman Second Row: Jauni Deters, Hope Thomas, Addi Lemme & Claire Parsley The 8th grade boys' basketball players are Caleb Stender, Brady McLaughlin, Jackson Reagan, Kadin Lemme, Will Durbin & Ephraim Newton. The 7th grade game will tip at 6 p.m. with the recognition of the 8th graders to follow. The Cougars defeated Mt. Pulaski last night to stay undefeated in the Tomahawk Conference, 60-43. Illini Central was led by Trenton Dietrich's 32. The boys are off until Saturday night when they host Clinton. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Tonight, we have two events on the Illini Central Sports calendar. The Lady Cougars travel to Athens for their games v. the Lady Warriors. The Varsity game will tip @ 6 p.m. with the JV to follow. One week from today...The Cougar Den is the place you will want to be. Illini Central will be host the Clinton Maroons for a Lady Cougar Basketball game followed by the Cougars taking the court as well. The Lady Cougars will hit the court at 4:30 p.m. In between games...we will be honoring the 10th anniversary of the 2013 State Championship Basketball team. This is a reminder that Illini Central schools will dismiss at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 20th and Wednesday, Dec. 21st, 2002. The last day of attendance for the first semester is Wednesday, 12/21. School will resume on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Have a Happy Holiday!

We wanted to share some information about the Illini Central shuttle bus that runs after practices in the evening. Here is that shuttle schedule: Shuttle bus will leave front of High School at 5:05 Shuttle bus will then go to Easton to drop off at the post office at 5:13 then Pick up at Easton gym at 5:15. Shuttle bus will drop off back at Mason City at 5:25. Shuttle will then Drop off in San Jose at 5:40. If you have any questions...feel free to call the school at 217-482-5180. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy
