There will be a parent meeting for middle school track and field on Thursday, March 12th at 5:30 pm in The Cougar Center.

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting as there will be important information shared and paperwork to be filled out.

The Illini Central Board of Education is currently exploring the potential of leaving the Sangamo Athletic Conference. While Illini Central has a long and proud history in the Sangamo, it is important for school districts to periodically reflect on past practices and consider whether current structures continue to best serve our students.

As enrollment patterns, travel considerations, and competitive balance evolve, the Board and administration are reviewing options that may provide the best long-term opportunities for Illini Central student-athletes and activity programs. At this time, no final decision has been made.

Just a reminder to the families of girls participating in the Illini Central Biddy Volleyball program...due to the M.C. Fall Festival events this weekend...we will not be having sessions this week.

Biddy Volleyball begins tomorrow (Friday) 8/29/25 from 3:00-4:30 in the high school gym.

Any girl who is signed up will meet in The Cougar Center.

Girls should wear athletic clothing to school, and may bring knee pads/tennis shoes to put on before practice.

Parent pick up will be at the high school entrance.

Illini Central/Greenview Middle School Girls' Basketball practice will be starting soon!

The first day of practice will be Monday, September 15th from 3:00pm-5:00pm in The Cougar Center.

If you are currently in another sport, still sign up and we will work with your schedule until that season ends.

If you are interested in playing basketball this season or have a student athlete that is, please fill out this form below before September 12th.

Any 5th through 8th grader is welcome to sign up.

The ICMS Cougar Baseball team earned a split yesterday at the Balloons Over 66 Classic.

Illini Central took the 1st game v. Lincoln Jr. High, 10-0. 8th grader Bentley Owens pitched 5 shutout innings giving up only 1 hit. Justys Burger drove in 3 of the Cougars' runs.

In the 2nd game of the day, the boys took on a tough 3A opponent in the Clinton Maroons and fell, 15-3. 7th grader Blayke Montgomery finished the game with 2 RBIs.

Next up for the Cougars is a home game on Tuesday v. the Bee Bees from Williamsville at 4:30 p.m.

And the last event of the day...the boys are back in action after an exciting game last night in Ashland. The Cougars fell to the Knights, 12-11.

Today...they are headed for Lincoln to finish up a busy week of baseball.
