Illini Central Middle School Volleyball Open Gyms Open to 6th-8th graders interested in volleyball 5:00-6:30 Thursday, Oct 24th Wednesday Oct 30th Thursday, Nov 7th Thursday, Nov 14th Thursday, Nov 21st Note- shuttle bus transportation will not be provided.

Consider these opportunities if you're interested in non-teaching positions at Illini Central!

Illini Central Schools will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. for parent-teacher conferences on Wed, 10/9, and Thurs, 10/10. There will be no school on Friday, 10/11. Pre-K will have early dismissal at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, but no classes on Thurs. or Fri. Pre-K conferences will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on 10/10. To sign up for Pre-K or grade school conferences, contact the office at 217-482-5180. Parents of middle and high school students can sign up for conferences through Skyward. On the home screen, there is a tab for“conferences.” Conferences are an important time for teachers to connect with families, so please sign up for a time to meet with your child's teacher.

It is that time of year again! Get signed up for The Jimmy Newell 5K Memorial Run/Walk! We can't think of a better way to remember one of the greatest coaches ever than participating in the run/walk Jimmy created. All of the information you need is in this flyer. We would love to see a huge turnout to honor the best. #BeJimmy

Day #2 of the mini August heat wave... Volleyball match in Pawnee is cancelled, so the girls will practice from 3 to 5:30. ICMS CC is cancelled & there will not be practice. ICMS Baseball is cancelled & there will not practice. The golf & softball teams will not practice. The Athens/IC soccer match at Mt. Zion has been moved to 7:00 p.m. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Illini Central/Greenview Middle School Girls' Basketball practice will be starting soon with a tentative start date of September 2nd. The coaches would like to have contact information together for all of the girls planning on playing this season as soon as possible. Due to expected numbers...we will have girls on the teams from grades 8th to 5th. Please see the attached video of the 2024-25 ICMS/ICHS activities rules presentation. This video was created in place of the annual sports meeting that was held in the fall. Any student that plans on participating in an extracurricular activity is expected to view the presentation, along with a parent/guardian. All 6-12 students will also have access to this video in their school email. Students and parents will need to sign off that they viewed this video, along with the other requirements. That paperwork can be found on the table in front of the HS office. It’s officially August, and school starts in less than two weeks! We compiled some helpful information all in one location to hopefully answer some of the most common questions. Students entering 5th through 8th grade this fall are invited to participate in the upcoming ICMS cross country season. Practice will begin on Monday, August 5th. All practices before students return to the classroom will be held from 8:00 am - 9:00 am. We will meet by the track shed (between the softball field and track). Once school is in session, practices will be after school from 3:15 pm - 4:45 pm. Our first meet will take place on Saturday, August 24th. Please make sure all physicals are complete and athletic fees are paid. If you have any questions over anything cross country related, please email Coach Darcy Toland (dtoland@illinicentral.org). Look forward to getting the season started.

ICMS Softball practice will be starting on Monday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Did you know that students entering kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade must have physicals? Did you know anyone participating in school sports must also have a physical? You can receive a free physical in Lincoln! More details about the free event are on the graphic.

Middle School Cross Country Informational Meeting There will be an informational meeting for parents/guardians on either Tuesday, July 16th or Thursday, July 18th at 6:00 pm for all new and returning runners for middle school cross country this Fall. You only need to attend one session as the information shared will be the same at both. We will meet at the track shed (between the track and softball diamond). Cross country is open to any incoming 5th through 8th graders. We will talk about this upcoming season, paperwork needing to be completed, sports physicals, and answer any questions that might arise.
