Tonight's baseball game in Lincoln has been cancelled and there will be no practice.

The Grade School Remote Learning Attendance Form has been repaired. Sorry for the confusion.

We are experiencing technical difficulties with our phone system. At this time, we are unable to receive incoming calls. We are working to resolve the matter. If you need to contact school, please email illinicentral@illinicentral.org.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

To the Illini Central Parents and Families:
The first day of school is now in the record books. Thank you all for working with us through the challenges of reopening school. I think I can speak for all of our staff in saying that having students back in the building makes all of the hard work worth it. Your patience and cooperation went a long way in making today a great one.
I know that the car drop off and pick up involved some long waits, but that will get better with practice. We are going to make a few changes in our screening process that may reduce the wait time. We will try to screen our walkers and student drivers before 7:45 so that they can enter right when the doors open. This may allow us to get to the car riders more quickly.
I am asking that drivers help us out by doing two things:
1. Please line up to enter the east parking lot from the southbound lane of North West Avenue or from Pine Street. Please do not pull onto North West Avenue from Chestnut Street and enter from the northbound lane. I realize that this may mean that some cars have to go a little out of the way, but it will keep traffic flowing more smoothly at the north entrance of the parking lot.
2. When leaving the parking lot, please turn right and pull onto Chestnut. Again, try to avoid going north on North West.
During pick up times today, I know we had some cars on Chestnut Street. This happens every year and usually improves with repetition. We will work on dismissing some of our car riders a little earlier so that we can hopefully begin filling cars right at 11:30.
The first day usually brings some confusion with bus routes as well. I am happy to report that we had just a few situations today. Again, some of this happens under the best circumstances, and will improve with time. Please keep in mind that we changed some routes and drivers, so allow them a few days to perfect the system.
Again, I want to thank everyone for the kind words and support. We will continue to evaluate what is working and what we can do to improve.
Have a great evening. We will see you tomorrow.

The Jr. High baseball game and softball practice have been cancelled today.

Well...we took a day to digest the information that was posted by the IHSA on Wednesday afternoon.
Here is what we know:
High school volleyball has been moved to after the 1st of the year. The start date is scheduled for February 15th & will end on May 1st.
High School Golf & Cross Country are a go for August 10.
A week ago today, the IESA cancelled the Fall sports...Golf, Softball, Baseball & Cross Country. At the time of their decision...they did not have the guidelines that were shared on Wednesday. Per their own press release..."We (IESA) are reviewing all of this information." So we are waiting to hear from them regarding any changes to what they posted last week.
If you would like to read more...

Earlier today...the IESA announced that the Fall middle school sports seasons have been cancelled.
The affected sports are boys' baseball, girls' softball, golf & cross country.
Girls' basketball is scheduled to begin on August 31st. A decision on their season will be made at an IESA meeting in late August.
We are still awaiting guidance from the IHSA regarding the high school Fall sports.
We are extremely disappointed that our student athletes will not be able to participate in the activities that play such an important role in their school lives.
