Good morning, Illini Central fans! My post is a little late, but we have 3 of our teams on the road today. The IC/Greenview High School CC team is in Peoria at Detweiller Park for the First to the Finish Invite. The IC/Greenview Middle School CC team is in Petersburg for the PORTA Invite. And the Lady Cougar volleyball team in spending this beautiful Saturday in Clinton for the Clinton Classic. Wishing all of our student athletes well today. It has been a busy week for our athletic teams here at Illini Central, but there is just one game on the schedule for today. The ICMS Baseball team will host the Delavan Panthers at 4:30 this afternoon here in Mason City. We will also be recognizing our 8th grade athletes before the game. It's another big day for our Cougar athletes. The ICHS Golf team is at Hickory Point Golf Club today for the Sangamo Conference Meet. The ICMS Boys Golf team is competing at Sectionals this morning at the Jacksonville Links Golf Course. The ICMS Cross Country team will be competing at the Rushville Invite this afternoon at Schuy-Rush Park. Our Lady Cougars volleyball team will be at home in Mason City tonight hosting the Lady Raiders from Midwest Central for a Tomahawk Conference matchup. It's hard to believe, but we have already reached the postseason portion of the schedule for two of our Middle School teams. The ICMS Girls Softball team will be in Petersburg this afternoon for a regional matchup against PORTA. Our ICMS Girls Golf team is just getting underway at the Sectional meet at Lincoln Greens Golf Course in Springfield. Congratulations to Junior Kase Renken as he took home Medalist honors last night at the Tomahawk Quad Meet at Country Hills in Greenview. The Cougars golf team picked up a pair of wins over Mt. Pulaski and Hartem as well. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Tonight is a big night in Mason City as we will be hosting an indoor sporting event for the first time since February 2020! The ICHS Volleyball team will host Sangamo Conference rival Pleasant Plains tonight with the JV match beginning at 6:00 and the Varsity to follow. The HS Golf team will be hosting a meet tonight at Country Hill Golf Course against three Sangamo teams. The HS Cross Country team will head to Manito this afternoon for a meet with Midwest Central. In Mason City, the ICMS Softball, ICMS Baseball, and ICMS Cross Country teams will all be hosting home events. This would be a great chance to watch all three teams in action and support our Cougar athletes. This is also 8th Grade Night for our ICMS Softball players. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy
