Good morning, Illini Central fans! We have a couple events on the IC Sports calendar today. The Cougar Basketball team competes in the Championship game of the 70th Annual Hartem F/S Tournament v. the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals. Tip is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Hartem uses the NFHS. I am not sure if the game will be broadcast, but here is the link to their page in case you want to check at game time: https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/hartsburgemden-high-school-hartsburg-il The 8th Grade Lady Cougar Volleyball team heads to Bartonville Monroe this morning for their IESA Regional Quarterfinal match with the Lady Tigers from Marquette Heights Georgetowne. 1st serve is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Earlier this week...our 7th grade match was broadcast on Bartonville Monroe's YouTube Channel. Last night, the Cougar Basketball team advanced to the championship game of the 70th Annual Hartem F/S Tournament with their win v. Mt. Pulaski, 50-47. Sophomores David Bard & Druin Evans led the way with 23 & 17 respectively. The championship game will be played tomorrow at 12:45 p.m. vs the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

As we are moving from Winter to Spring sports…I realized that I dropped the ball back in the Fall. I apologize for my mistake. Sophomore Taylor Keihn was named Honorable Mention in the Tomahawk Conference for volleyball. You couldn’t ask for a better athlete, student, teammate or kid. Congratulations, Taylor. Today, the ICMS 7th Grade Volleyball team heads back to Bartonville Monroe for their IESA Regional Semi-Final match v. the Lady Tigers from Marquette Heights Georgetowne. With spring sports starting up, we wanted to remind everyone that we do offer a shuttle bus on days that school is in session. The shuttle bus will pick up in Mason City at 5:05 and then head to the post office in Easton. From Easton, the shuttle bus will travel to San Jose and drop off at Casey's. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Spring sports begin tomorrow...February 27th! The ICMS Track & Field team will have their 1st practice of the season tomorrow. Athletes should meet in the APR after school. Practice will be from 3 to 5. Families can pick up their athletes after practice in front of the HS. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Another congratulations on this Saturday afternoon...IC 8th Grader Morgan Peterson was named to the All-Tournament team at the Lewistown Central Invite today! The 8th grade fell in their 3 games today. The girls will begin IESA Regional play a week from today at Bartonville Monroe v. Marquette Heights. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Congratulations to the 7th Grade Lady Cougars for their win today v. the Lady Raiders in the IESA Regional! The scores were 20-25, 25-18 & 25-20. IC will be back in action Monday night at Bartonville Monroe vs. the #2 seeded Marquette Heights. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Illini Central Schools will dismiss on Wednesday, 2/22/23, at 11:30 for a school improvement planning day. There will be no Pre-K tomorrow.

Tonight, we will be honoring our 8th grade volleyball players prior to their match with the PORTA Lady Bluejays. The 6th grade match will begin at 5 p.m. with the 7th & 8th grade matches to follow.
