Pesticide application notice
NOTICE OF PESTICIDE APPLICATION: Illini Central CUSD189 has implemented an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program, in accordance with the Illinois General Assembly Public Act 91-0525. Part of this program requires that schools must provide notification prior to the application of chemical pesticides inside school buildings. Illini Central does not apply pesticides on a regular basis, and it is the intent of this program to limit the amount and frequency of pesticide use in our school facilities. However, when needed, we will contact Harris Pest Control for pest control services. Harris Pest Control will conduct a pesticide application in Illini Central High School on Saturday, November 19, 2022. The building will be closed on November 19 & 20 as a result. The buildings will reopen for school on Monday, November 21, 2022. Any questions should be directed to Superintendent Mike Ward at 217-482-5180.
High school and middle school students will be asked to clean out lockers on Friday, November 18, 2022. Teachers will provide time during the day to accomplish this task.
