Alliance Community Bank of Mason City and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Kolbi Johnson with the December Student of the Month Award. For demonstrating outstanding character, Kolbi receives an Amazon gift card from Alliance Community Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty.
Kolbi is the daughter of Doug Johnson and Kristi Bruce.
Her classes this year include Dual Credit English, Dual Credit Psychology, Advanced Spanish IV, Advanced Chemistry, AP Calculus, Accounting, Government and Civics, Supervised Agricultural Experience, and Natural Resources.
This past fall, Kolbi was named an Illinois State Scholar.
Kolbi keeps busy as the vice president for the FFA and vice president of the Spanish National Honor Society. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Spanish Club, and Science Club. Kolbi is also active as a cheerleader and a member of the volleyball team. Outside of school, Kolbi participates in the Shock Volleyball Club team.
This upcoming fall, Kolbi plans to study agribusiness at either Lincoln Land Community College or Illinois State University.
