Alliance Community Bank of Mason City and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Kayla Durbin with the November Student of the Month Award. For demonstrating outstanding character, Kayla receives an Amazon gift card from Alliance Community Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty.
Kayla is the daughter of Brian and Jennifer Durbin.
Her classes this year include Dual Credit English, Dual Credit Psychology, Advanced Spanish IV, Transitional Math, Supervised Agricultural Experience, Environmental Science, and Fitness.
Kayla keeps busy as the reporter for the FFA. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, and Science Club. Kayla is also active as a member of the Mason City Community Chapel where she runs sound each week.
This fall, Kayla plans to attend college at Greenville University in Greenville, Illinois. She plans to study business management.
