Alliance Community Bank of Mason City and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Abigail Stender with the September Student of the Month Award.
For demonstrating outstanding character, Abigail receives a Barnes & Noble gift card from Alliance Community Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty.
Abigail is the daughter of Eric and Christine Stender.
Her classes this year include Physics, Graphic Design, Media and Technology Communications, Dual Credit Psychology, Advanced Spanish IV, AP Calculus, and Dual Credit English.
Abigail keeps busy as President of the National Honor Society, President of the Senior Class, Vice President of Spanish Club, President of Mu Alpha Theta, and President of the Spanish National Honor Society. Abigail is also involved in the SLAM student ministry at the Mason City Assembly of God.
This fall, Abigail plans to attend a community college to complete her general studies before transferring to a four-year university.
She is interested in studying child or family therapy, developmental psychology, or graphic design.
