1st State Bank of Mason City and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Colleen Douglas with the January Student of the Month Award. For demonstrating outstanding character, Colleen receives a Barnes & Noble gift card from 1st State Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty.
Colleen is the daughter of Jay and Jill Douglas.
Her classes this year include Physics, AP Calculus, Advanced Biology, Fitness, Resource Management, Accounting I, Dual Credit English, and Government and Civics.
Colleen keeps busy with a number of extra-curricular activities, as well. She is the Senior Class Historian and a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society.
Colleen is also active in volleyball and softball, and she is the treasurer for the FFA. Outside of school, she is a member of the Salt n Light Youth Group and plays for the Illini Elite Volleyball Club.
This fall, Colleen plans to attend Lakeland University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
