On February 20th, 2024, 5th grade students attended The University of Wonder and Imagination at Sangamon Auditorium on the campus of University of Illinois at Springfield.
The performance focused on Math, Art, and Science. Afterwards, students met with University employees who talked to them about what college is, what programs UIS offers, and they shared historical information about the campus.
Mrs. Henning planned this field trip as a component of the Career and World Readiness district plan that wants all grade school students to set foot on a college campus before they move to Middle School.
Students enjoyed themselves and learned what college has to offer!
