Avery Higdon, sophomore, is the son of Jamie Higdon and Tanya Fancher of Mason City. Avery has had a busy sports career, participating in football, basketball, baseball, golf & track and field.
His favorite sports memory is going to state in 7th grade as a member of the ICMS Track and Field team. Avery says that his favorite subject in school is math, and his favorite movie is The Sandlot.
When asked for his favorite quote, Avery said, “Plan for the worst, hope for the best.” Avery enjoys Mexican food and hanging out with friends and family when he is not busy with sports.
After graduation Avery plans to attend college, but is undecided on where to go or what he will be studying. ICHS would like to thank Avery for the time and commitment that he has given to our athletic programs.
Avery will begin his Junior year by playing on the ICHS Golf team this Fall.
