Lannah Shaffer, sophomore, is the daughter of Colleen Jones, Mike Jones, and Jeremy Shaffer of Mason City. Lannah is a member of the girls basketball team at Illini Central High School.
Her favorite sports memory up to this point is 8th grade night for MS basketball. In school Lannah says that her favorite subject is welding.
Lannah says that she plays sports because, “Sports have always been in my life and they help me become who I am through teamwork and the friendships I’ve made within.” When she is not playing basketball as a hobby, her favorite movie to watch is Black Widow.
Lannah says that her favorite food is her grandma’s homemade chicken stew, and her favorite quote is, “Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon.” After graduation Lannah plans to enlist in the Navy.
