Athlete Spotlight - Alaina Karker

Alaina Karker, 8th grader, is the daughter of Laura and Andrew Karker of San Jose. Alaina competes in both cross country and track as a student athlete at ICMS.

Her favorite sports memory up to this point is any time that she gets a personal record, and she doesn’t have a favorite class in school. When asked why sports are important to her, Alaina said, “Running is my life.”

Alaina said that her favorite movie is Overcomer and her favorite food is chicken tenders. She has been running ever since she was a young girl, and it continues to be her favorite hobby.

Her favorite quote is, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” -Fred DeVito

ICMS thanks Alaina for her dedication and commitment to both track and cross country, and we look forward to following her running career in high school.
