Last week, Mrs. Realmo's sixth grade Earth Science class studied topographic maps. To help the students understand the concept, they created topographic maps on their knuckles. They learned that the small closed circles on the top of their knuckle represented hilltops. As the circles got wider and farther apart down the knuckle, the elevation got lower.
