November 10, 2020

 Dear Families and Staff:

This letter is to inform you that  individuals  at Illini Central Grade School has tested positive for COVID-19. We are coordinating our efforts with the Mason County Health Department  to promptly identify and monitor individuals who have had recent contact with the COVID-19 positive individual(s) to prevent further spread within our school and community.

As you are aware, we have seen an increase in the number of positive cases throughout our community.  As a result, we have several faculty and staff who have been forced to quarantine.  Because of this staffing issue, Illini Central Grade School, Middle School, and High School will follow the remote learning plan beginning Wednesday November 11, 2020 through Wednesday, November 25, 2020.  The Illini Central Pre-Kindergarten program will continue to operate with in-person learning and follow the current schedule.

Students who attend LTEC or programs in alternative locations will continue to follow those schedules.

Bus routes will run at normal times to pick up and drop off Pre-K students, LTEC students, and those in alternative locations.

Wednesday, November 11th will be a remote learning planning day for staff.  No instruction will occur for K-12 students tomorrow. Thursday, November 12 will be a gold day for ICMS/HS. The Pre-K will operate as planned.  There will be no lunch service on Wednesday.

Drive-through food service will be available for Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13.  We will begin with food service delivery on Monday, November 16.  We will post a food services sign up tomorrow on the district website. Any family wishing food service delivery should sign up through the form or email the district at illinicentral@illinicentral.org

All special education meetings  will continue as scheduled. The  November 18 Pre-K screening will continue as scheduled.
