On October 16, 8th grade students took a trip to University Of Illinois Springfield. The trip started with a spectacular performance of four of Edgar Alan Poe's masterpieces. After having lunch in the Performing Arts Center, students took a short tour of the UIS campus. The trip was taken as an introduction to Mrs. Giesler's ELA Poe unit. Students are currently exploring Poe's life and will begin reading his poems and stories very soon.
