
The gym floor is finished, and bleachers are currently being installed! Save the dates: Farewell to Easton on December 19th and the first game in the new gym/Open House on January 10th! I can't wait to see our teams compete on this new gym floor!


Today, Illini Central students gathered in the gym for Meet the Cougars. It was a great way to recognize our fall and winter athletes and inspire the future athletes! Mr. Burks called down all of the bitty ball players, and we are excited for the future of IC sports! #WeAreIC


Miles of Smiles is Back!

This does count toward the state required dental exams needed for kindergarten, second, sixth and ninth grades.
The clinic will be held on December 16th & 17th.


Interact Club is sponsoring an Impact Life Blood Drive on November 22nd from 9:00 to 2:00 which will be held in the Mason City Public Library parking lot. Please scan the QR code on the signs or see Mrs. Price. If you are 16 and wish to donate, please pick up a form on the table by the office. Community members are also encouraged to sign up so help us get the word out. Interact Club would like to present a scholarship to a senior when we meet the unit goal that has been set by Impact Life. Seniors, see Mrs. Price about enrolling in the Make A Difference Award Program. You could earn points towards a graduation cord and certificate of achievement. This achievement could be added to a resume. Thank you!


Illini Central Schools will be closed on Tuesday, 11/5/2024, for election day per state law.

Illini Central Schools will dismiss at 11:30 on October 31st for school improvement meetings. PreK students will not be provided transportation; however, morning and afternoon students may attend from 8 to 10:30.
Middle School students will have a field trip to the Arlee Theater. Costumes are not allowed, but students are encouraged to wear Halloween colors and apparel.
As part of Red Ribbon Week, Grade School and High School students may wear their costumes; however, no masks, blood, gore, or weapons are allowed. If you have questions, contact the building principal.

If you would like to donate any of these items, feel free to drop them off during school hours or send them with your student to bring to the main office.


On Wednesday, November 6, Seniors will be attending Spoon River College's College Visit Days. They will have the opportunity to see the campus, meet with students and staff, and participate in hands-on activities. They will be stopping for lunch on the way back, so please send money with your student.


On Thursday, October 17, Ms. Hyde's Dual Credit English visited Illinois Central College for library instruction. Students learned how to use the library databases and do research using the physical holdings of the library.

On Wednesday, October 23, Juniors will be going to SIUe in Edwardsville. They will be gone all day and will need to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Please send money with your student for lunch on campus.


Illini Central Schools will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. for parent-teacher conferences on Wed, 10/9, and Thurs, 10/10. There will be no school on Friday, 10/11. Pre-K will have early dismissal at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, but no classes on Thurs. or Fri. Pre-K conferences will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on 10/10.
To sign up for Pre-K or grade school conferences, contact the office at 217-482-5180. Parents of middle and high school students can sign up for conferences through Skyward. On the home screen, there is a tab for“conferences.”
Conferences are an important time for teachers to connect with families, so please sign up for a time to meet with your child's teacher.

Homecoming tickets are for sale Today and Friday during lunch the price is $5 a ticket.
Students can also pay at the door on Saturday.
The homecoming dance will start at 7 pm on Saturday and doors will open at 6:45. We will have coronation at 7:30 and the family is welcome to come and watch for that.
The dance will conclude at 10 pm.

ICGS photos will be taken on Wednesday, October 2.
ICMS/ICHS photos will be taken on Thursday, October 17.


Tomorrow, September 25th, Illini Central Schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. The PreK will have their morning activity from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. that is open to all students in morning and afternoon classes; however, transportation is not provided. On Wednesday, October 9, all Sophomores will be attending Dear Future ME! - a college and career fair at Midwest Central High School. Students will only be gone for part of the morning and will be back before lunch.
