Chestnut St) beginning at 2:00 p.m. Doors will open and paddle sales will begin at 1:00 p.m. There are over 40 items up for auction including gift cards to restaurants, stores, etc. as well as 4 ticket vouchers for the winner's choice of Peoria Chiefs' game, two 1-night stays at the Comfort Inn in Lincoln, IL, Illini Central gear, a Limited Edition photo with laser signatures from the Chicago Bears, Scentsy, Tupperware, Thirty-one and much more! Paddles are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. A limited number of quarters rolls will be available prior to the start of the auction. Illini Central High School's National Honor Society will be selling concessions. All proceeds from the Quarter Auction will benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library that the Literacy and Leadership class has been working to bring to Illini Central School District. Through May 31st, all donations and funds raised will be doubled through a generous grant from The Woods Foundation.

Students who signed up to go on a field trip to tour the FS Sunrise Ag Facilities in Mason City, Easton, and Havana will be doing this on Wednesday, April 19. Students will be leave a little before 10am and return to school around 2pm. FS will be providing lunch for students. Please let Mrs. Arms or Mr. Kloba know if you have any questions or concerns.

Alliance Community Bank of Mason City and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Mahlea Lusher with the March Student of the Month Award. For demonstrating outstanding character, Mahlea receives an Amazon gift card from Alliance Community Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty. Mahlea is the daughter of Rod and Tina Lusher. Her classes this year include Transitional Math, Fitness PE, Chemistry, Independent Art, Advanced Spanish IV, Ag Orientation, and Dual Credit English. Mahlea serves as the secretary for the Student Council, Secretary for the Spanish National Honor Society. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and President of the Spanish Club. After graduation, Mahlea plans to attend Illinois Central College for her general education courses to prepare her for flight school. She wants to major in Aviation and plans to rely on Real Estate as a possible backup career. For Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12), Dr. Durbin and Mr. Kloba want to show the staff how much they are appreciated! We will play Lucky Duck 🦆… all staff will get a duck. The duck has a number. All throughout the week, we will draw numbers. If a staff member wins, they will get to choose from the stash. We will do this until all prizes are gone! If you would like to donate gifts (products, gift cards, food, candy, fun office supplies, etc.) or want to support the staff at ICMS and ICHS, we are accepting ALL things to show our all-star teachers how much they are appreciated! If you want to make monetary donations, we will use them to purchase prizes. W want to make it a fun week for our staff, so please help us show them how much they are appreciated! Prizes can be dropped off at the school or to Dr. Durbin.

The Literacy & Leadership Class is excited to announce that through May 31, 2023, all funds raised by the Literacy & Leadership Class at Illini Central High School to bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to District 189 will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to a maximum of $8,000. The matching funds pledge has been made possible through the generosity of Robert J. Woods and Joan Jarrett Woods, creators of The Woods Foundation. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library improves early literacy, school readiness and success by providing age-appropriate books to children ages birth through 5. The annual cost of these books is $25 per child which is covered by generous donors. Donate today to support double the number of young readers!
