On Friday, November 11th, students from Illini Central participated in Biology Day held at Western Illinois University.
Students participated in a Hall Competition, sat in on a college Biology lecture, and got to participate in various activities throughout the Biology Department. They had the opportunity to learn about sutures, EKGs, insects, proteins, cancer research, getting in to medical school, water quality, etc.
We had 2 of our students place in the Hall Competition. Lucia Leamon took 1st place and Avery Lowers took 3rd place.
