Illini Central Grade School

The Illini Central CUSD189 Board of Education will holds its December meeting on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the Grade School Library. According to COVID-19 Tier mitigations, the meeting attendance is capped at 10 people in the library. This number includes board members and administrators. The meeting will be broadcast through zoom. The meeting can be accessed at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84522205694?pwd=czVMNGhTUU56bXRLbGVMVnR4NnhGZz09. A period of public comment is included in the agenda. Illini Central Grade School will be holding a pick up for materials on Tuesday, November 24. Parents can come to the grade school main entrance between 8:30-5:00. Parents only need to come pick up materials if the classroom teacher has contacted you through DOJO, email, google classroom. Not all grade levels or specific classrooms have materials that need to be picked up. If you are unsure please contact your child’s classroom teacher before making a trip to the school. Thank you!

Dear Parents and Guardians: As we continue to navigate through these remote learning days, Illini Central is committed to continuing to monitor the health and safety of our staff. To assist us in this task, we encourage you to please keep us informed of any positive COVID-19 cases that involve your child. While we respect the privacy of your family, it will help us to track the spread of the virus within our school community. That information will inform our decisions to re-open school as planned on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Expectations for IC Grade School Students during Remote Learning. 1. Students/Parents need to fill out the attendance form daily on the Ilini Central website. 2. Students are expected to complete all work that teachers assign on Google Classroom. It would be ideal if students could complete work from 8:00-1:00 just as if they were in person. However, it is understandable that young students may not be able to do this independently. As long as students are logging in for attendance and completing work they will not be penalized. If work is not being completed it will be considered incomplete and could result in failing of the assignment and subject. 3. There are exceptions to completing work such as if a student is ill. At times internet is also unreliable. Please contact the technology department at IC or the grade school office if persistent technology issues arise. Every effort should be made to complete work while in remote learning! Thank you for your cooperation during this time!
