Even though we miss him dearly…we know this monument to Coach Jimmy will allow future IC students & athletes from other schools to know about a person who changed so many lives. Come out & help us celebrate Jimmy in a way that he would love…cheering on the kids as they run Cross Country. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

The school year is rapidly approaching, and we're looking forward to inviting you and your family to our campus in the coming days before school resumes on August 18th, 2022! ​Sunday, August 14th, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: ​Kindergarten families are welcome to attend our Kindergarten Play Date, sponsored by the ICGS PTO! This event is to help students (and families) meet one another and familiarize themselves with the "big kid" playground. The PTO will also have popsicles! Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: ​ All ICGS families are welcome to attend the Illini Central Grade School Meet the Teacher Night. Homeroom teachers, Specials teachers, and other staff members will be in their classrooms, ready to meet students and parents alike. Feel free to bring your child's school supplies to school that evening in order to save them a heavier load on their first day on Wednesday. This same evening we'll have the PTO with us to give you more information on their organization and encourage you to sign up. Families will also be able to sign up at this event for Parent Teacher Conference time slots for later in the Fall. If you have students in other buildings, please note the Pre-Kindergarten Meet the Teacher time is 5:00 pm-7:00 pm this evening and the MS/HS event runs from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ​We cannot wait to get this school year started! Good afternoon, Illini Central families! Registration for the 2022-2023 school year is approaching quickly. Online registration will begin on Thursday, July 21st. In-person registration will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 2 to 7 p.m. We will share additional information closer to those dates. Our Health Department will be at registration to administer immunizations on August 4th from 2pm until everyone is served. Those will take place in the Health Services modular. Reminder: The June meeting of the IC Board of Education has been moved to Thursday, July 23rd at 7:00 pm at the Mason City Public Library. The meeting will include a hearing on the amended FY22 budget.

Just a reminder that the Illini Central Spring Band & Choir Pop Concert is taking place tonight @ 7:00pm in the High School Gym. This event features the 5th/6th Grade Beginning Band, MS Choir, MS Band, HS Choir, and HS Band. MS and HS groups performing will be playing songs from artists, movies, and musicals like: Aladdin, the Beatles, Bill Withers, Dear Evan Hansen, Panic! at the Disco, and even the game Civilization IV! The concert is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 6:30pm. There will be a short intermission before the HS groups perform to allow people to visit our Fundraising Tables. At the Spring Concert there will be Avanti's Gondolas for sale for $4, a Silent Auction Fundraiser, and an opportunity for Mr. Damann to get pied in the face - all to benefit Illini Central Music Boosters! There will be a bucket you can drop cash into, and if that bucket reaches for $400 by the end of intermission not only will a local business match the donation but Mr. Damann will get a pie thrown in his face at the end of the Spring Concert! #WeAreIC #BeJimmy
