Ryder Claypool, 8th grader, is the son of Cole Claypool and Amy Jones of Mason City. Ryder is a member of the baseball and basketball teams at ICMS.
His favorite sports memory up to this point is getting the basketball stuck on the back of the rim, and his favorite subject in school is math. When he isn’t competing for the Cougars, his favorite hobby is playing basketball.
Ryder says that sports are important to him because, “I have a good reason to get good grades and to play with my friends.” His favorite movie is The Sandlot and his favorite food is Subway cookies.
Ryder’s favorite quote is, “People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing everyday.” One interesting fact about Ryder is that he is ambidextrous.
Ryder and his teammates will be kicking off the basketball season soon, and we invite you to watch him play this Winter. ICMS thanks Ryder for all of his hard work up to this point.
