Illini Central staff have begun planning to reopen schools for the 2020-2021 school year. Last week, the district received guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education that establishes both mandates and recommendations. That guidance recommends that schools plan for at least three possible scenarios. These include in-person learning with proper social distancing, a blended system that includes both in-person and remote aspects, and extended remote learning in the event of a surge in cases of Coronavirus.
The leadership team at IC is looking for input from the community to help guide the planning process. The families of students are asked to complete a brief survey to assist the district in its efforts. The survey is open through Sunday, July 5th. The district hopes to release a plan on or before July 24.
