Remote Learning instruction has concluded for the 2019-2020 school year.  The Board of Education, faculty, and staff wishes to express its thanks to the students and parents for their hard work and dedication.  Information regarding grading is included below.

Grading in MS

Students in middle school will receive either a Pass or Incomplete as their 4th quarter grade.  Students who have not participated to adequacy during our remote learning will receive an “I” for incomplete for their 4th quarter grade.  Upon return to school, those with an incomplete will be required to make up the missed work. Parents will only receive a paper report card if their child received an incomplete.

Grading in HS

Students in high school will receive a semester letter grade no lower than their third quarter grade.  If the 4th quarter grade is lower than the third, the semester grade (S2) will be equivalent to the third quarter grade.  If the 4th quarter grade is higher than the third, the two quarters will be averaged together.  The only grade that is calculated into GPA is the semester grade.  While Skyward and report cards may still show a lower fourth quarter grade, it will not factor into the semester grade. Students who did not make attempts to complete remote learning will be given an incomplete or “I” as the S2 grade and will have to make up work upon return to school to attempt to salvage credit.  Parents will only receive paper report cards if a student failed a class for the semester or receives an incomplete.
