The 1st State Bank of Mason City and Illini Central High School are pleased to present Adelaide Harp with the April Student of the Month Award. For demonstrating outstanding character, Adelaide receives a Barnes & Noble gift card from 1st State Bank and an Amazon gift card from the Illini Central High School faculty.
Adelaide is the daughter of Michele Harp.
Her classes this year include Ag Communications, Cosmetology through LTech), Anatomy, Government and Civics, Dual Credit English, and Fitness P.E.
In addition, Adelaide participates in several extracurricular activities. She vice president of FFA, vice president of Interact Club, treasurer of Science Club, and member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, Spanish Club, Scholastic Bowl, Poms, Homecoming Committee, and Dance Team. Adelaide has participated in the school musicals and plays, and was a GAST intern, as well.
Outside of school, Adelaide helps with Operation Christmas Child, Manna Project, and 30-Hour Famine. She is involved with Salt ‘n Light Youth, and she also teaches in the nursery at her church.
Adelaide plans to attend Western Illinois University, where she will pursue a degree in Agriculture Education.
